Through a people centered development approach the Trees4Trees Foundation is building capacity and valuable timber assets in partnership with local communities.

The Trees4Trees™ program enables local people to have access, control and enjoy the benefits associated with the ownership, management and sale of these valuable planted timber resources.

Empowering local individuals and communities to sustainably manage their planted forests and obtain benefit from the commercial use of these resources is a primary goal of the Trees4Trees™ program.

The program, through its strategic education and skills development approach, is developing local leaders and advocates that can articulate a clear vision and the means to achieve it, for the benefit of individuals and their communities through the implementation of good forestry practices.

The establishment of mutually beneficial partnerships with local communities and households, to harness the social and economic potential of sustainable forest management and utilization, is central to the program and its success.

The Trees4Trees Foundation is promoting the development of community owned planted forests that will be of mutual benefit for tree recipients and manufacturing enterprises.
