Community Consultation
The process of undertaking community consultation assists the Trees4Trees™ team to identify interest, benefits, concerns and critical issues relating to program participants and the communities in which they live. The consultation process facilitates a two-way flow of information. As a result of the initial and ongoing community consultation the Trees4Trees™ team can develop resources and implement actions to meet identified issues, to improve the quality of services offered and achieve positive outcomes for program participants.
Through the consultation processes we collect social assessment (interest, benefit, suitability, land and social impact) data that facilitates implementation of the program. Through regular focus group discussions and farmer group meetings consultation provides a feedback mechanism so that the Trees4Trees™ improve the program.
Trees4Trees™ encourages participation from stakeholders so that good working relationships are developed for sustained development of the program and it’s activities. Consultation and participation processes are central to the Trees4Trees™ approach to build strong partnerships with program participants and to develop sustainable forest management through the Trees4Trees™ program.
